Hemianthus glomeratus

Hemianthus micranthemoides ‘Pearl Grass’ (formerly called Hemianthus micranthemoides) is popular plant in aquarium hobby and is a multipurpose plant that can fit in any part of the aquarium. It has tiny leaves and is known for its bright light green coloration. It is a versatile plant and is recommended for all planted tanks. Pearl grass is ideal as a background or mid-ground plant in smaller tanks as it gives the illusion that the tank is larger than it is. In contrast, this plant can be used to create a dense foreground in larger tanks. High light will encourage Pearl Grass to send of horizontal creepers with side shoots. Over time this will create an attractive, thick bush of greenery.
