Rotala macrandra 'Green'

Rotala macrandra ‘Green’ is a delicate and graceful plant that hails from India. Its elongated leaves are bright green with pink undersides and the stems are red. Watching this plant photosynthesize can be quite a spectacle. Under good lighting and CO2, oxygen bubbles can be seen forming at the base of the leaves. Once enough oxygen is accumulated, the leaves get lifted up. Rotala macrandra ‘Green’ responds well to trimming and branches out willingly making it easy to be manicure into any desired shape.
